OPPORTUNITY

The Training Coordinator is responsible for training content and resources for employees across The Alliance Canada. This role is ideal for someone with a strong training background, a systems mindset, who is inventive and a self-starter.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Learning Development & Training Programs

  • Develop and maintain training content which helps learners in their understanding and competencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator in English.
  • Understand and experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Collaborate with Director of Culture and Implementation to adapt HR specific tools and frameworks to create learning materials.
  • Testing whether learners have achieved learning objectives.

2. Workforce Planning & Organizational Structure Support

  • Support workforce planning as structures evolve across multiple affiliated organizations.
  • Assist in writing, updating, and maintaining job descriptions.
  • Track employment categories, agreements, and compensation structures across multiple legal employers.
  • Help prepare the organization for the transition toward the future shared services model.
  • Maintain clarity around which employees belong to which entity, ensuring accurate processes and records.

5. Cross Entity Coordination

  • As we move to a shared-services model create processes that are adaptable yet standardized across Alliance groups.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Follower of the Lord Jesus Christ
    • Personal character that is Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered and Mission-focused, with a clear sense of calling and vocation
    • Unwavering commitment to the Statement of Faith, vision, purposes, ministries and protocol of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
    • Clean criminal record check, able to comply fully with C&MA’s NMC Lifestyle Commitment.
  • Training
    • Understanding of adult learning approaches and tools and how they apply in a global setting.
    • Understand learner profiles, backgrounds, and contexts to design relevant training flows.
    • Strong understanding of training design, learning objectives, and adult learning principles with minimum two years experience.
  • Technical Competencies
    • Rock RMS and Office 365 (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Copilot)
    • Experience with video generation tools such as HeyGen and video libraries such as Vimeo.
    • Experience with multilingual translation tools.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems
    • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written Canadian English.

Preferred

  • Experience within The Alliance Canada or a similar ministry environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple employing entities with different policies and agreements.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

  • The work location is at our Mississauga office Tuesday-Thursday with an option to work from home Monday & Friday. For the right candidate we would be open to remote work within Canada.
  • Some travel is required for meetings, training opportunities, and to support large gatherings.
