In order to fill any paid ministry position of 15 or more hours per week in an Alliance church, a person must first be approved for ministry.

The authority to issue licenses on behalf of the C&MA shall be vested in the district superintendent for personnel ministering within the district and the president for those who are international workers and who minister at Ambrose University, ETEQ, or the National Ministry Centre.

Overview:

Toronto Jaffray Chinese Alliance Church is looking for a Pastor for Cantonese Ministry to lead and care for the Cantonese-speaking congregation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The CM Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor (or designate) and is accountable to the TJCAC Elder Board and the Eastern Canadian District (ECD) of The Alliance Canada.

Required Qualifications:

  • Theologically trained to lead others from an accredited evangelical theological seminary

We are a church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance located in the thriving and growing community of Okotoks, Alberta, just south of the City of Calgary. As many young families move to Okotoks, we are looking for someone passionate about serving the families of our church and surrounding community. This is a full-time role that will primarily focus on our Youth and Children’s ministries.

Position Description:

The Family Ministries Pastor will provide spiritual and organizational leadership to the Family Ministries of OAC under the direction of the Lead Pastor and in cooperation with the Board of Elders (BOE), helping the church minister effectively to the next generation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic Family Ministries Plan and work with the Lead Pastor to ensure that the plan is continually developed, executed, and aligned with OAC’s strategic vision.
  • Develop a compelling vision of youth and children’s discipleship.
  • Provide weekly Youth ministry programming catering to all ages and stages of our students’ personal and spiritual development.
  • Intentionally interact with youth from our church and community outside of scheduled events for the purpose of discipleship.

The Associate Pastor of Family Ministry leads and shepherds the discipleship of children and families at MCA Church while serving as a key leader on the broader pastoral team.

North Shore Alliance Church is seeking a Children’s Ministry Pastor. This role will be a part time or full time position managing the Children and Family programs, Children’s staff, Interns and Volunteers

North Shore Alliance Church is seeking an Interim Worship Arts Director or Worship Arts Pastor for a one-year term. The specific title (Director or Pastor) will depend on the qualifications, licensing status, and experience of the candidate.

This interim appointment provides steady leadership for the Worship Arts Ministry during a planned season of parental leave, ensuring continuity in both musical leadership and spiritual care for volunteers. 1. 40% Coordinate and Facilitate Student Ministry (gr 6-12)

  • Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and care to youth, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus and navigate life’s challenges from a biblical perspective.
  • This includes a strong emphasis on empowering youth leadership.
  • Organize and facilitate various youth ministry events, such as retreats, mission trips, outreach, and special activities that empower students to Know Jesus deeply, Follow Jesus fully, and Share Jesus boldly.
  • Partner with parents to develop discipling practices that support healthy spiritual formation in the home. 
  • Ensure there is a network of support to provide mental health, crisis and pastoral care for families and youth.
  • To continually innovate, evolve, and implement systems for tracking metrics, scheduling, event and program communication, strategy evaluation, etc. 
  • Participate in 403 Network, and other Calgary Wide Youth Network events and initiatives that align with Foothills’ vision and mission
  • Ensure healthy transition from Youth to Young Adults ministries.

2. 30% Collaborate and Participate in Leading Young Adult Ministry

  • Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and care to young adults, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus and navigate life’s challenges from a biblical perspective

 3. 20% Volunteer Recruitment and Development

 4. 10% Pastoral Duties

  • Participate in the preaching and spiritual formation ministries of the church.
  • Participate in the community life of the church in ways that reflect commitment and investment (eg. life group, prayer meetings, community building activities, etc.)
  • Provide pastoral care and counsel to staff, leaders, and congregants.
  • Officiate wedding and funeral ceremonies as appropriate.

Hamilton Chinese Alliance Church (HCAC) is prayerfully seeking a Family & Children Pastor to launch and lead a comprehensive, sustainable family discipleship program. Theological Training (Flexible)

  • MDiv / MCS / MTS (or equivalent) welcomed; relevant ministry experience and demonstrated fruitfulness are highly valued.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and build children/youth/family ministries, including curriculum use, volunteer development, and ministry systems.
  • Strong relational and communication skills with children, teens, parents, and volunteers.
  • Cultural intelligence and comfort serving in a multi-lingual church context

Description

Serve in ministry to children and youth while learning cross cultural missional engagement. Learn and practice teaming skills. Participate in a mentored relationship provided for your development in cross cultural ministry understanding and practice. Chiayi Alliance is located in a semi-rural area where there are many factories and farms. The church started in 2020 and currently there are a few families attending regularly.


Responsibilities

Specific ministry responsibilities will include:

  • Take on leadership of weekly children's ministries which include preparing and teaching a mixed aged Sunday school to children ranging from kindergarten to middle school
  • Help with Winter and Summer camps held at local elementary schools or at Chiayi Alliance, including mentoring volunteers who come and help with the camps
  • Initiate programs to engage local children and youth
  • Work closely with Chiayi Alliance Leadership

Team Vision
Our vision is to see indigenous, reproducing, contextually appropriate fellowships of Christ followers amongst the Fulani and Wolof peoples of Senegal. We will do this by helping to bring access to Jesus to the least reached of Senegal as we collaborate with Senegalese believers and other like-minded missions to mobilize a reproducing church-planting movement amongst the Fulani and Wolof.

Description
As a team, we are exploring opportunities for witness among the Wolof and Fulani peoples of Senegal. There are opportunities to partner with other like-minded groups and to gain experience and understanding in church-planting contexts and strategies as well as community development projects.

Responsibilities
The Alliance apprenticeship provides a pathway for on-the-job training, mentoring and accompanying learning & reflection activities. In this context, responsibilities would include language and cultural learning, participating in church planting initiatives and local development projects. For those with medical background, community health programs are also available for engagement.

  • Bible knowledge and how to teach and pass on Biblical truths;
  • Knowledge, understanding and engagement in prayer and intercession;

Description
Proclaim the gospel in cultural appropriate ways and develop national field workers in the work of disciple making movements.  This role will appeal to someone who is humble and willing to learn and has giftings in evangelism, leadership, and mentoring.
 
 
Responsibilities

  • Proclaim the gospel through multiple creative avenues alongside like-minded nationals.
  • Engage in the work of making disciples among the least reached people. 
  • Develop, train and supervise national field workers in the work of disciple making movements.
  • Full engagement in team life, accountability, and collaborative vision.
  • Commitment and application to becoming fluent in the language and culture.

 
Required Education or Training
Master’s Degree in Missiology, Spiritual Formation, Leadership or related field

 
Required Experience
Experience engaging in evangelism cross-culturally.  Experience in leading a ministry team is also an asset.

Team Vision
The team is recruiting new workers to join the Church Planting effort already underway here in

our city among the Pearl people. Through culturally sensitive evangelism and discipleship we

will work together with other local partners to see a Pearl expression of worship birthed here in

our city and hopefully also in the Pearl homelands where 50 + million people still live with little

to no access to the gospel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ministry of the Pearl Team and greater Central Asia & Middle East Team
  • Focus on language and culture acquisition for the first two years
  • Attend weekly Pearl Team gatherings
  • Share the gospel with Pearl people
  • Disciple Pearl believers into maturity in Christ
  • Establish culturally sensitive communities of faith
  • Identify & develop Pearl leaders
