Today is a day when Christ can change your life, transform you, and set you free. This can be your day to meet Christ.

Each day, when we wake up, we have a choice. We can put on the old filthy rags of our old self or choose to put on the new royal robe—our new clothes.

It's in those moments on the Mount of Olives that we gain a better understanding of how he dealt with difficulty and hardship.

In this day and age when we are mostly going at a breakneck speed, we need the reminder of what serving actually is.

We need to be able to recognize the signs of what is coming, but it is far more important to trust the Gardener and keep our eyes on him.

In fact, when it comes to what matters to God, the focus is often on us—his children. We matter to God: our hearts, our well-being, and our lives.

Do we pray to genuinely connect with God, or merely to say we did, or submit our lists of wants.

This story also demonstrates that Jesus knows our hearts better than we know ourselves.

While I know the identity of Jesus, I also know I can be like the people in this story and miss what Jesus wants to do in my life and in our world....
